I won't run CA and if you tell me where the "less" places are in your 55 m.p.h. or less I won't run there either .
Some of us aren't interested in running a lot of miles to make a decent living . We work smart , not hard , making a good living running less miles . I have to laugh every time I see one of those stickers on a trailer door asking "How many miles did you run today ? Want to run more ? "

Doesn't matter if your truck does 60 or 600, you don't make better money if you're only getting dispatched 2500 miles a week. However, the extra speed isn't so bad if you like cab rocking activities ;) or video games..... And I like both. (only cab rocking from my old lady, and only video games on my computer)

you CANT do 75 in CA?????? thanks NOW you tell me.....LMAO...j/k....

have been on boths sides...slow and fast trk

yeah if you keep the left door shut, you can accomplish a lot with a slower trk. we used to run 7000 mi a wk in a 62 mph trk. HOWEVER that left NO TIME for anything else...having a faster trk allows us to still run the same miles, and do some other things....like have time for a trk wash, meal etc...AND enjoy driving...personally I CANT STAND to go slow.....my hat is off to some of you guys that do it and are happy about it....i for one hope to NEVER drive a slower trk again...not that i have the fastest one out here...but fast enough to make me happy and get away from most of the idiots...

For the so called goverened trucks , someone needs to invent a device linked to a GPS that adjusts the allowable MAX speed to the posted speed +5 MPH for the road the truck is currently running , that way the so called SLOW trucks will be able to at least run the POSTED speed and well the FAST trucks will just be SPEEDING.

But PRIME drivers will still drive under 60 to get the best fuel mileage .

But everyone else will stop :biggrin_2553: because they would klnow that they ( SWIFT ) could at LEAST do the posted speed and chose not too.

What choice do you have? Just about every company runs governed trucks. You could buy your own truck and not be governed but then you wouldn't make any money running 70-75mph every where you go.
