You remind me of a teenager, you haven't been in the seat long and you think you know all about this industry. Just stop whining and listen to what the experienced guys are telling you. That's how I learned most of the stuff I know out here, by keeping my mouth shut and being given info from the guys who have been out here 10+ years.
Its always easier to argue that your right than it is to admit you have no idea what your talking about.

jammin22, I like the new younger crowd getting into the industry but there are just somethings that you will have to learn.
Number 1 is that you can be replaced. you can whine and cry all you want if the company decides to cut your truck back and you can pack up and go to another job. Good luck on finding another job that has wide open trucks.
Number 2, if the companies insurance agency was out on the road following the trucks and they found the trucks driving 75mph or greater then they would have something to say about it. Especially if you are a tanker yanker hauling hazmat (fuel).
There is something to be said about driving slower, I know that I ,personally, am more comfortable and less on edge if I back it down a few mph. Especially in my area in during the winter months. We have had many drivers last winter that drive like you do and they all ended up parked in a ditch waiting for the hook to come and get them out.
Now don't get me wrong, I would love to beable to do a tad over 70 mph on some of our runs. By cutting the truck back, I can't log some of our runs in a day anymore. I lost more then 40 driving miles a day just by them cutting my truck back to 69 mph. This makes one of our runs impossible to do unless we get a little more advanced notice so we can head out to our load point the day before and take out 10 out on the road somewere between here and our load point. But saddly we do not get that extra notice.
The last time the boss told me to go out there I told him that I can't log it as I go. I would have needed more notice before hand so I can head that way earlier and take my 10 out there. he just told me to make it up on my log. I said nope not going to happen, only way I can log that run is if they turn my truck up to 72 mph. He got pissed and said fine, call me in the morning. I ended up on the #### list doing #### jobs for 3 days.joseph1135 and lonelyswmtrucker Thank this. -
He doesn't understand trucking. Sure, he may know how to drive a truck. But he doesn't understand the business. There really is a difference.
