The only denial is your denial to see the facts..

    1. less fuel cost (companies are in business to make money)
    2. Lower insureance cost (companies are in business to make money)
    3. Higher csa scores (companies have to keep their safety rating up or all that time you made up driving fast is spent getting dot'd)
    4. There is no pay cut.. You make what you agreed to run for..
    5. This thread proves that drivers don't need a fast truck and if they do they can buy one.

Well those would be the facts if the thread title was "why do companies govern trucks" but I already knew the facts u stated, my question was why do drivers stand for it

What I've learned is that not only don't they mind, but they love it, just crazy to me

Then the question should be "Why do drivers, drive for a company and not buy their own truck?"

I just think too many drivers are being taken advantage of. I understand many people in this thread have claimed they are well compensated for the money their company is saving by driving well under the limit, and that's great for them. But I think a majority of drivers are only making in the low 30's cpm while driving extremely slow trucks, and I don't think it's right at all

    RickG Thanks this.

I guess that's the main point of this thread. If your making good money, then great, I'm more talking about the drivers that can barely make end meet

I was just looking at my paychecks for the company I was working for.

Bad week. $1800 gross for 2 weeks.

Good week, $2300 Gross for 2 weeks.

I was paid 36 cpm and drove a truck governed at 66 mph.

I couldn't get away from it fast enough.

Because a new truck cost 115000 to 167000... used trucks are a gamble and they are way more thoughtful than the people who refuse to see the driver has NO POWER other than to QUIT.. and all major companies govern their trucks and if they don't they will not be able to insure new drivers.. I can see that stating facts matters not to you.. So for now I will just tell this wall here it will get as much out of it..
