Many aren't always for moving folk.
many of these ones do a lot of electronic trade shows so you may be out on a trade show circuit for three or four months if you want to shave the cost of a hotel you got your hotel on wheels..
a lot of bed bug is also with the big ones may end up moving contracts and you may be on that contract for a long time let's say there's a place to relocating maybe an IBM facility and you have to take care of moving all the employees who were relocating so you may be on the road if you're contracted to do it for quite a while..LilRedRidingHood, Rideandrepair and faux_maestro Thank this. -
It's so they have room for the hot tub and pool table.

Tare weight isn’t usually an issue with those guys either........not many 45,000 lb loads.......
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Thats what im thinking. I have been moving whole trailer loads of my own industrial stuff and cannot even come close to 80k... And my stuff is all iron. I bet the average homeowner has under 15k of household junk beside vehicles, so theres plenty of room for more tare weight with no penalty.LilRedRidingHood, Rideandrepair and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
Wow .... midnight there are a few reasons why.
One is when they are onsite, many times they are doing a load or unload that extends the entire day, so they need facilities like a toilet.
Another is as mentioned, when they are onsite for days, hotels get expensive so they make use of the large car.
Another is that many are family run businesses so a bit of luxury while being out for six months at a time is better than being couped up in a small box.LilRedRidingHood, Rideandrepair and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
The ones I’ve talked to with the extra large sleepers were exhibit trade show trucks or government contractors so they’ll sit on site for a week at a time
LilRedRidingHood and Rideandrepair Thank this.
