I have 1st hand knowledge of a cat turbo with 750K on it and the owner was getting nervous. The reman turbo had more play in the shaft the the original one.....

They sent the reman one back and left the old one on......

So how and when will you call it?

Are you worried if you wait to long it will cause auxiliary damage?

If it hits the housing or leaks they both are gone......

Of course... I worry about everything. But I’ll rebuild it better than it was ....

Most likely will not be seen on the street , will not pass emissions (with out retune ) . If they want to loose what market share they have left , bring them on in . Best they could do is try and use the driveline .

The really sad thing is some doctors have gone on a record saying they have seen patients recover from worse. If that was my child, and there was even a slight chance of recovery, id be in prison for murdering the judge who ordered my child be killed.

Correct , we “pull to plug “ very often here , but the family is on board in that choice . Government could start denying care based on any standard they want , you voted the wrong way , or wrong race?

The government didn't make the decision.

The doctors wanted to take the child off life support, since its brains were completely gone, and in that case there is no hope that the child ever could have become concious again.
The brainstem however was still functioning. That is the oldest and most primitive part of the brain, it controls heart and lungs etc. , and works almost completely automatically. The curse of modern medicine is that it is possible to keep a body alive almost indefinitely if the brainstem is still working. The part of patient's brain where his conciousness is, can be completely dead and destroyed with no hope of recovery.

When they slaughter a cow, they shoot a pin in its brains, destroying all conciousness. The brainstem however is still working, and when they hang it up and cut its throat, the working heart will pump all the blood from the body, and that is what they want.

When the doctors told the parents that there was absolutely no hope, and they wanted to take the child off life support, the parents just saw a breathing child, the child was alive. In fact only its body was alive, its mind had long gone, but the parents couldn't accept that. So they appealed to the courts, which is their right. They even went to the European court, but after weighing up all evidence, the judges came to the same conclusion as the doctors. That's why we have judges, someone has to make these decisions. The doctors had a professional opinion that the parents couldn't accept, and then the courts are the only place where a definitive decision can be made.

The Vatican interfered, but an Italian doctor who looked at the medical state of the child had to come to the same conclusion, there was no hope.

There have been similar cases. A pregnant brain dead woman was kept on life support until the baby was born. In Florida a woman was taken off many years of life support after a long legal battle. After her death an autopsy was performed, and her brain proved to be largely gone.

Its no more violent than ordering a plug pulled so the child dies from dehydration/starvation.
