The version they sold in europe were not very successfull. Too late, ZF already took over the market.

But Eaton still produce synchronized heavy duty transmissions.

9, 10, 12 and 16 speed synchro transmissions. not for North America or Europe, but South America and Asia.
You probably won't find them on Eaton.com website, but they are still produced and sold.
    FTS(O) and RTS(O) series.

I would say ZF (with single H pattern, and dual switches), not an Eaton. I don't think the synchronized eatons were available in the 105DAF.
I thought they were already extinct in Europe at the time of the 105's.

So I got curious and dug a little deeper.

This is what is in the information with the video:
just a little mistake at 00:33 the picture is from a Eaton 18s On my Daf 105.410 i have a manual gearbox 16s ZF

And this is what the owner of the video wrote in the comments further down.

    13 speed Eaton I assume?
Did you have the double-H pattern (where you have to hit the stick to go from low to high range)?

The DAF2800 we ran (with 13 speed eaton) had the double-H.

Steyrs and Berliets in the fleet had the 3 position switch.
In dutch it was called bicycle bell, because it looked a lot like bells that were installed on the bicycles)

Yes, he showed the wrong shift stick in his video. However this ZF stick functions differently from today's model as you saw.
