Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

PTO on rear of transmission. I was told (and daf105paccar confirmed), bad batch of camshafts.
Never had problems again after update.

 

Price was around $5500 without DPF or $7000 with DPF's. I worked @ a leasing company for a little while and they were replacing a lot of One boxes. A friend of mine works @ a rival leasing company(he works on the yellow ones, I worked on white ones with red lettering)and he said they are starting to replace quite a few. Mostly replaced for plugged/damaged DOC's or SCR catalyst or SCR efficiency issues. No cleaning a DOC with this German (Eberspächer) design! A plugged one is pretty noisy!

 

Again this shows how many urban myths are floating around in the trucking world.

You're right, this was a 12 litre prototype engine they build during the development of the MX to test components.

 

You need to remember, A Large leasing Co. will have more buying power than a Single truck owner Operator..

Nice looking Cummins Emissions Solutions aftertreatment. The EPA17 single canister does seem simplier. Time will tell on durability. Where was your tour @Caesar?
