I don't know, but I have seen pictures of this type. I suppose someone has a good reason to build them.
Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

These wizzing matches come up now and then.
Your trucks are ugly (US to EU) vs your trucks are dumb (EU to US).
There is place for both.
The clever people know this ... but you get the other types as well.AModelCat and daf105paccar Thank this. -
Well, there is an other matter too. You can use a EU truck in the US, in fact I think there are roads and places in the US where it would be much more practical to use an EU style truck then a US truck. However using a US style truck in Europe is almost impossible. Can you agree with that?

Yes, but because of our bridge laws you would not be able to haul as much weight.

Here is a link to a site that contains the bridge formulas. Follow the chart for distance between axles, and the number of axles, and it will give you the allowable weight. Tire size also plays a role. Many states have differing rules, especially once one exceeds 80,000 pounds, but the chart displays what is normally excepted nationwide.

Those weight limits are very low indeed. I showed this Ginaf X 5450S truck before in this thread:

Technically it is a 60 metric tons (= 132,300 lbs) truck. In the Netherlands is has a maximum legal weight of 50 metric tons (= 110,200 lbs). In the US the maximum weight is just 61,000 lbs! -
And it probably weighs close to 40,000 by the looks of it.
