Use a different approach. Suppose you're a NA trucker, and you drive long distances over highways, how much is your monthly fuel bill? And suppose you could save 10% to 15% because of better aerodynamics?

In EU all trucks must be 55 mph governed, but many truckers have higher speed limits, but do not overspeed/

Yes, it is possible to 'modify' the truck so that it will go faster. There was a TV program on the BBC where a British policeman (escorted by patrol cars) got 90mph out of a truck. The truck didn't like it.

Well if your living down under mate every truck is imported so we have no choice but to buy either something from Japan, Europe or the USA personally i don't judge a product by where its made from rather i look at its overall performance and make a determination on that alone. I must admit though i love those Peterbuilts we currently don't import them into Australia not sure why.

What does a unit (tractor+trailer) like that cost in USD$? Steerable trailer tandems? That's really overkill and not necessary in NA. It's not cramped everywhere with little country roads between 800 year old hedges or cities with street grids laid out by the ancient Romans. True, you can find places where it gets difficult with a typical conventional tractor and 53' trailer in the big east coast cities but you can also plan around or avoid those places entirely.

Price is not a issue! The Argosy is no higher price. And not sure which models you are comparing as far as visibility? King I am not sure of what tariffs SA is putting on US imports? Caesar's yellow truck , not sure why a single axle daycab Cascadia with a pup, would not get around any worse. As far as stand up cabs , they have been around since the 80s . In both conventional and cab overs . Today's better conventionals the hood slopes at the same angle as your line of sight. Only way for you to get better sight lines in the cab over is to stand up. Do you know where Volvo North Amercia is located. Have been down street to advise the design team. They were trying to get our business, hard.

I do not want to be misunderstood. I meet british drivers in Europe. They differs a bit, they are usually in good mood and sometimes look funny.

Really british drivers are smart and they have good skills.

The most crazy drivers are from Turkey and Italy)) LOL

    Dear sdaniel,

Pablo-UA made the following comment about the driver instruction videos:

The lady in de videos speaks perfect English - English, and not American -English. Saying that real English sounds ridiculous (compared with the accents in the former British colonies like the US, Canada, Australia, South Africa and so on) is a bit odd.

So I made a little joke, I'm sure Pablo-UA is not offended.
