Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

I found an older type of Ligier truck for sale:

As you can see the cab is about as roomy as that of a NA tractor, so NA drivers should feel right at home :)

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Cab overs have their place here. This unit moves 33% more freight then a standard truck . Just not going to insist everyone has to use one. And getting over 8 mpg.

image.jpg image.jpg Reality! Have to look close to see that hood ! Like I said the better trucks the hood slopes about the same as your line of sight. In other words I put a baby stroller out in front of this truck and yours it would disappear about the same time.

I think you're mistaken. Look at these pictures:

    20120159-DAF-XF-Euro-6-small.jpg

    20120159-DAF-XF-Euro-6-mirror.jpg

This mirror at the passenger side gives the driver full view of what is right in front of his front bumper. No dead spots in front of his truck.

Used to go to schools and give No Zone speeches. To show students the blind spots around a truck and for the public be aware of them. Used to put a stroller out about 3 feet out from the bumper. image.jpeg My old truck on a show day. On the NC Road Team.

If you want you will see that same mirror on your Daf on the Walmart Freightliner. So stop thinking EU are the only thing out there. Columbus had the right idea! Let us leave this place and find something better.

Excuse me, but you claimed that there is a dead spot in front of an EU truck. I merely showed you that there is not. The Walmart truck has a similar mirror too, but at the moment no COE trucks are being sold in NA.

The mirror on the yellow hood seems to be of a schoolbus. How the second mirror is suppose to work, I can't figure out. The third mirror is at the right spot for a truck with a hood.
