Strange. If someone can't afford a new truck, you would think he would be more cost-conscious, and try to save on running costs like fuel. On the other hand, that may just be the reason that he can't afford a new truck

Or, cost per mile is less with an older truck and profit is therefore higher? It is rarely a matter of affordability, but rather total cost per mile, including interest, depreciation, cash reserves, resale value, etc.
Fuel is only part of the equation, and with current fuel prices so low the equation can point toward a less fuel efficient truck that has less downtime cost associated with all the EGR/DPF/DEF, and electronic sender problems.
And then there is the less tangible aspects like enjoying what you are doing, and what you are doing it in!

As I can see now the trend differs

Truck maker try to build lightweight vehicle with the same GPV to move more payload

I have had two LF 55 , one written off in accident.
If you see it you wont believe the driver only had a sore hand but that is another story.
Both are LF55 220 with 6 speed ZF fitted with tag axle 6x2 , 2009 models.
Never had any problems with them.
Some others have has fuel pump issues but we have been lucky.
As far as wiring we have had no issues but our XF 's have had their fair share.
It seems now that our mechanics know them better we don't have as many wiring issues.
We don't have a davie so sending a CF in tomorrow because it sometimes just does not want to engage gears on the Astronic. You have to switch on and off and disconnect battery and play with the switch for a while then it starts working again.

I was in a smaller city in China in November.
They had trikes like that but with a truck diff and dual wheels at the back.
It was like a 4 ton truck at the back and a motorbike front end.
Like an F350 and a Vespa had a kid.
Saw one with 2 pallets of bricks.
Like the one below but just bigger rear end.

Yet there is a new 2015 setting in the picture ??? No need to check any website . Just drive by the dealer. And a glider is not a new truck? Last trip to the plant , they came down the line like the rest. You can have no driveline, or engine of choice and transmission or rears . No engine ,and get transmission and rears. One of the three has to be left out. Most come out as a rolling powered glider. Comes with a full engine warranty, just hang the trans, mounts will be there if you told them which trans you want to use. See one of these nonexistent trucks a day. Again just because you say something doesn't make it so! Last company I was with built 40 gliders. Most were LNG .

If there was no blind spot , why did they develop a mirror to check a nonexistent blind spot? It's there , as it is there on any truck. Putting DAF on it doesn't change laws of science...

Sounds like the factory cobbled together what ever they could! American engine , with German fuel management system, and junk ABS system. Frankenstein truck? Pablo does any of it work well together?
