Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

Man , they dont last even here, they dont hold prices for a reason

Today I worked on DAF LF againe.

Yes, that picture indeed represents the US. Just looking at itself.

 

Now look what happened. Pablo wrote about the Putzmeister MAN concrete pumps, so I looked for a picture of such a truck and I found it. I also learned that Putzmeister had send big concrete pumps from the US to Fukushima, so I looked for pictures and video clips of these trucks. And then I found the clip that I published here.

That clip show that very big Kenworth tractor, and I was amazed to see how easy that big monster looses traction. It doesn't take much or some of the wheels simply don't touch the ground any more. So I made the remark that a similar European tractor wouldn't have such problems. Think of a Mercedes Actros, or a MAN tractor. Did I call the Kenworth stupid, ugly? Did I write that I hate American trucks? That would be stupid anyway, the only reason you would hate a truck is when you personally have problems with it.

Now what do I get to see to proof Kenworth can make offroad vehicles. Huge oversized oilfield trucks that are not road legal, armoured vehicles, a tractor for a tank trailer, some stupid armoured vehicle for a sheriff. Can these vehicles be used for that concrete pump? No!!

With a little bit of searching I can show you European tractors that can be used in front of that pump, and they would do a better job.

Did you see that Tatra truck from that Texas company? Did you see the wheel travel? You can get an 8x8 tractor from Tatra with the same wheel travel, from the shelf.

I've been called all kind of things by now, but if you look back I have never done the same to anyone else. I made some jokes with steam tractors, but hey, if you get offended by a simple joke, well then you can't be helped I'm afraid.

Hardly, that thing is far too long. The trailer also has to put some load on the front wheels, that will not happen with that truck. And I still don't know the wheel travel, it's high on its wheels, but that doesn't mean anything.

 

C-500 can be ordered many frame lengths and sizes..... And 8x8 or whatever ....
