Really US trucks go European now.

In 2000 US truck was different, becouse if u compare it with EU truck, European truck got some features, not available in USA.

    1. Disk brakes
    2. EBS and ESP
    3. ECAS
    4. four point cab suspention
    5. Park heater
    6. Clutch servo
    7. Truck electrics with multiplexing, electronic light control.

Now I can see, that US trucks got these features and options.

Pablo, it's pointless telling them that. If they had the choice between the most advanced NA tractor of today, and a tractor that was designed 20 or even 30 years ago, they would go for the latter.

In their mind those were the glory days for trucks, all those modern improvements are bad, and even worse if they came from Europe.

You're right. We would take an NA truck of 20 years ago over a NA truck of today.

Employees that don't have to worry about down time for overly complex, fragile electronics and emissions systems when they break typically do enjoy driving brand new trucks. Self-employeed that know better drive what's dependable and reliable.

If we will not pay attention on emission stuff, lets look for features of US trucks that comes from Europe!

    1. Advanced brake systems.

All started from multy-tank air system in 70s, later europeans pushed air driyer, in 90s they made ABS - standard system, later they introdused EBS and ESP.

Also trailer ABS and EBS came from Europe.

Brake system makers are Wabco (all Wabco ABS and EBS units for US trucks are made in Wrozlaw), and Knorr -Bendix.

Yes, Haldex is on market too, but not so successfull.

    2. cabin substructure.

US drivers think, that conventional design is safe, and cabovers are dangerouse, but only in frontal collisions.

European truck makers had to improve safety of cabovers and EU cabin is much stronger. But in USA european cab test is used too and it improves safely in roll over crashes.

    3. Multyplexing electrical system.
