Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

Yes, I know a similar joke.
Some one once asked the manager of the Scala opera why female opera singers always seem to be rather big. His answer was that he had two choices, a beautiful singer, but she sings like a horse, or someone who sings beautiful, but she eats like a horse.

I said before, and I will have to say every time; the thread is "why do Americans hate European trucks?" Our national weight limit is 80,000 lbs. American drivers do not, except in those States that allow higher weights, drive trucks that have a higher gross weight. And when do, the additional weight is borne in a trailer, so except for higher horsepower, it is the same truck. You want to know why we hate your trucks, please post something we could drive in this country, but hate because it is European.

 

Ok .but why? You showed a custom made quarry tuck. Throw yours and 40 more tonnes in and go. for the road. Or if need to move some weight 106 ton rating as its sitting. Michigan.

 

The hardest working trucks I have seen are those working in Indonesia hauling multiple oversize bulk trailers.
The Volvo's hold up way better than the NA trucks they have tried.
That has also been my experience.
Most NA trucks are good on the black stuff and I spent 8 years driving a Mack with camel back heavy suspension spec.
