    Is that John Cleese?

One thing I will always agree with, when it comes to TV, Europe has us beat every time.

Yes indeed, this is from Fawlty Towers, one of the best series the BBC ever made. The waitress was the wife of John Cleese in real life.

Of course they are but I still don't think they will help him figure out why he is traveling backwards.

Yes , your trucks are ugly vs your trucks are stupid rises from the dead now and then.
Personally it is useful if people are open to learn.
Generally Europeans due to being in a more cosmopolitan society are more open to different ideas.
Americans due to their insular environment find this more challenging at times.
People are the same its their environment that shaped this.
It is easy to see who gets their panties in a bunch and some find it amusing to poke them with a stick for fun.
I have an American friend who up till the oil price tanked used to come to South Africa 6 times a year and it was tradition for us to go out for dinner.
He always said if you scratch an American you know how they will react.
I must say many here rise above that but some still take the bait.
Looks and what one finds good looking is objective and everyone must understand that at the very least.
I have made my feelings about both NA and EU trucks more than enough times.
Now the trucks I find the most practical for normal freight are Japanese.
They are just more reliable than both EU and NA with out a doubt.
They just have smaller cabs and are I guess uglier than EU or NA trucks.
I must add that this is at Euro 3 emission regulations where we operate.
I think they combine the simplicity of older NA trucks with out the downside of the bolt together everything brought by the building of a bespoke frame to take all sorts of options.
Everything is purpose fit and simple.
They do however bend you over with their prices on spare parts if you need them.

Small Fuso trucks are with MB Engines, 904 and 906, they share engines with Atego

Isuzu supply engines to GMC, and yes, Kodiak 8 cyl TDI is really Isuzu engine with Bosh common rail
