Do so many American's hate Euro trucks? I don't recall it ever coming up in conversation among truckers in over 30 years at this game. I know I don't give it a minute thought during a normal day. This post is the longest time I have ever concerned myself with it. I really could give a rip what folks it Europe are doing for trucks. I don't drive there.

Don't worry globalization and the multi national corporations will bring them here.......
It's only a matter of time.. -
Maybe so. Again, I will probably not give any of it any more thought than I have up to this point.

Think it was that same model. Do remember it was made in Germany. Most of the rest were Brazian made.

Now to be honest, I hate the trucking industry. I enjoy driving, so I do it for a living. I grew up in California, and we had the best looking trucks. I would have skipped eating to stay out on the road, so if my dad wanted to stop and eat, (we ate at truckstops even when we were driving a car) he had to swing through the lot so I could see the KWs, Peterbilts and cabover Freightliners. All the Whites, Macks, Autocars, Brockways, etc that came from back east were ugly. Almost all were underpowered by today's standards, but looked great. The only trucks I find appealing are the direct descendants of those trucks, which are Peterbilt 388/389 and KW W900.
I know that today's engine run cleaner and are more efficient (hooray!) So I prefer them over a 262 Cummins or 335. But for my money, I got better mileage in my 379 than I do with a company vn670 with a d13. I think the common sense things are so lacking in the Volvo. One thing, between bunk and the cabinet is a gap large enough for stuff to fall down there, (glasses, phone, etc.) but not large enough for a hand to get down there and pick it up.
My rant is over! -
but it was not like this? 3models were available in USA largest was LPS1525

Winding mountain and country roads? We have those in this country but we also we have a good system of interstates, 4 lane highways, and even two lane highways that our combination vehicles work just fine on. If there is some place of economic importance in the mountains or country there is a highway going there that can handle our trucks. Some rare places where there isn't people might have to use straight trucks but that would be unusual.
