I am not going to take the time to explain it to you because you wouldn't acknowledge your error regardless. But ask yourself this, why does Volvo make an A45, as well as an A60, if there is no application in which they are more cost effective? I guess Volvo engineers are just idiots?
Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

Well you never did answer the question tho.SAR, sdaniel, Humblepie and 1 other person Thank this.

Thanks, but these used dumper trucks cost about the same as a new Volvo 10 x 4 . I wonder what they cost new.

Awd is common for mixers and power company bucket trucks or ag sprayer trucks. Western star will make whatever you want and Oshkosh will too. But there is no demand for a 8x8 or a 10x10 here. As they would be far to heavy to have any useful payload on the highway

Actually, you will have four independent businessmen that make daily decisions determining their success or failure.
What is your expertise? And how do/did you earn a living? Based on all your hyperbole on here it obviously wasn't having anything to do with trucks.
You will need to answer in order to further this conversation. -
Not really according to your numbers it is about a 100,000 cheaper for a 3 year old truck. I would say new they are close to the same money. I would say they would last longer in an off road environment, and the 10x4 has highway capabilities. So it boils down to application for the end user.SAR, sdaniel and daf105paccar Thank this.

No, not at all. It depends on the circumstances and the use of these dump trucks. Quite often these articulated dump trucks are used for nothing else as simple transport jobs over not very difficult terrain, like in mines. In these situations the Volvo mining trucks made by BAS (and other similar trucks) are a far more economical solution. In very difficult terrain such an articulated dump truck will be a better solution.
And just as I expected, you will not answer the question.Last edited: Apr 18, 2019

If I had said those very words you would have argued with me. It is far easier when you are tricked into disagreeing with yourself, which you just did.
Are you going to answer any the questions? I will repeat them:
1) Have you driven, owned, or in any other way been involved in making your livelihood with trucking?
2) How do/did you earn a living?
