It's also an ejector gate, not a tipper, for what it's worth.SAR, spsauerland, Cat sdp and 1 other person Thank this.
-
Yes unles...there is no driver
nevesu, spsauerland, daf105paccar and 3 others Thank this. -
It's a truck with 55 tonne payload, so the weight will be 75 to 80 tonne is my guess.
This is a 12 x 6 version, it has a payload of 75 tonne and a tarra of 29 tonne, so 104 tonne in total.
True, but you can get it as a tipper as well. -
you do a lot of guessing. But trucks are rated off of capacity. When you say a 100 ton truck that means it has a capacity of hauling a 100 ton.Oxbow Thanks this.

I know it's true, otherwise I wouldn't have said it. I wasn't asking a question.sdaniel, SAR, spsauerland and 1 other person Thank this.

Off-road mining truck, 78 tonne GVW, 55 tonne payload, 6 speed powershift with torque converter, hub reduction axles, 440-540 hp.
BAS claim 14-20 litres (3.7-5.3 gallon) per hour fuel consumption.....
Compare this to an on-highway truck, let's assume an average speed of 40 mph, average consumption of 7.5 mpg......that's 5.3 gallon per hour as well.
Something seems wrong to me......haycarter, spsauerland, 98989 and 4 others Thank this. -
All I know for sure is the quarries around me are cheap as the day is long. They were all using old 10-14 wheel dumps that they pulled off the road, because they aren’t really road worthy. They are all using new articulated haul trucks now. I believe they are leased.....
I do know the Volvo’s have a real time computer set up that if they are overloaded by weight or speed (on the downhills some operators put in neutral) an email gets sent out from Volvo to the quarry......
Oh the ground is all hard .... so floatation is not a factor here....KVB, daf105paccar, Humblepie and 1 other person Thank this. -
Per hour means including the time needed for loading and unloading, when the engine is idling.
-
I don’t put a tipper up at idle.......
spsauerland, AModelCat and Oxbow Thank this.
