here we use front engine PTO for electric aggregates used for refrigirated bodies, it is mostly on small trucks to save weight (they dont have diesel agregate at all) on large trucks it is there because of Frigoblock.

rear engine PTOs are used when they have to be in use while driving. like winterservice trucks, concrete mixers etc.
smaller vacuum trucks will be powered by gearbox PTOs, while most power demanding applications will be powered by sandwich pto placed between gearbox and engine.

We ordered our tractors factory wired and plumbed for transmission mounted PTO. I install the PTO, pump, controls, hydraulic and hoses for the wet kit. Done over 30 of them. Use all Muncie.

here hyva hydraulics is what is mostly used, they are rather cheap 2050€ for kit including oil (pto not supplied) without instalation. it is single line hydraulics. If You want cheap version you can get chinese kit from poland for about 900€ including pto!!!
if you want quality you will turn to meiller and pay about 3200€ for it. you can find good hydraulic components in italy but you have to assembly them by yourself (not just order kit) like omfb.
if you want best (nearly nobody is ready to pay that) you will have to get hydroleduc pump, hoses and connections from argus, cylinder from neumeister

    some advantages of synthetic oil:
    • Better lubrication properties in general
    • Much better lubrication at low temperatures.
    • It can withstand higher temperatures, without burning and causing soot.
    • It contains far more detergents, keeping the engine clean.
In fact when you change from mineral oil to full synthetic oil, it may even be advisable to clean the engine with flushing oil. Otherwise the synthetic oil will loosen so much dirt in the engine, that the oil will be dirty very shortly after changing the oil.

Mr. @spyder7723 could have told you this as well of course.

Agreed, they will dump at idle, but time is money. I idle it up a bit until the last stage as well.

Always wanted to set-up a hydra-pack, but they are not big enough to run our GD CDL9 blowers. Did a " home-made" hydra-pack for a Peterbilt glider. Used a dump pump for a set-up that could pull a bucket, run a jack-shaft for ammonia tank, and run compressor for acid. Think I went through a whole can of pipe dope!

The point I was trying to make, Was: None of the current crop of Engines are particularly Trouble free...It's basically impossible to Buy a current truck & get to a Million Miles with nothing But Scheduled Maintainence..
The DDEC 3&4 series 60's, V series Benzs , 2 & 3 series Scania's were probably the last batch that would consistently do it.. In My opinion
