Side note, I am replacing the turbocharger on our 2011 F550 service truck. I do not recommend doing this unless you have a lot of patience! Little easier when some parts fell off 1556375376156-832584046.jpg

Only the Cummins X-15 can handle FA-4 oil.
I would say that these companies are lucky that their engines can handle the thinner FA-4 oil. I wouldn't say these engines are more advanced and better engineered just because of that.

    Regarding this whole oil war.

I know a guy who has some strong connections in huge Latvian refinery, he was suppling oil for many truck dealerships, or huge car parts wholesalers in East Europe.

Didn't matter which oil you ordered, you still got the same cheap oil just with different package.

He got "caught" last year, they changed the supplier, but watch out what you buy.

So as much as it is important to buy right oil, it matters even more where you buy it.

No, it's done at the same time. The engine manufacturers are working on new engines that require better oils. Oil producers and engine manufacturers work together to set up new oil standards.

True, there is fake oil on the market, even the bottles are copied.

Original bottle, you wouldn't notice the difference in package. VERY strong connections, note some small company.

At one time they were leading steel wheel OEM. Their aluminum wheels are good too, just not as pretty as Alcoa!

SAR, Humblepie, daf105paccar and 2 others Thank this.
