But trucks that are traded at 5y are not scrapped, they are just sold .
So the 13(or 14) number is not right.

KVB, haycarter, 98989 and 1 other person Thank this.

you can be quite wrong, there are many old trucks here, my friend have 8 trucks, 5 are old, 3 new.
he is kind of old school guy, he change oil on his mp4 in 1/3 of normal service km's.
he got 1976 magirus with air cooled engine
1979 mercedes (first owner), v10 engine
    1991 man with v10 engine
    1993 man with v10 engine
    1994 man
he transport only garbage and dangerous waste and do lot of export to austria, otherwise i am pretty sure all trucks will be old

my father daily use 1987 MB

Cat sdp, KVB and daf105paccar Thank this.

    Sold, exported.
Maybe not as old as the KW, but close I would guess.

    Update on the NOX sensors.
After the dealership boss looked at his data off repairs to EURO6 Daf's ,the conclusion was while the downstream or past the catalist NOX sensor does wear out,the upstream or before the catalist NOX sensor has as good as no issues.

So.......i will follow their data and not replace it.
It is a calculated gamble .
    But preventive maintenance allways is.

    spsauerland Thanks this.
