I might add that I was speaking of folks like KVB and Spsauerland who are actually involved in the development and repair of engines.

I do not pretend to possess their knowledge.

Not really surprising. It is a market that DAF wasn't very active on. But since last month (the Granada event) we know that DAF is going for a higher share on the construction truck market as well. For intance they never had a 5 axle truck, and let MB and MAN supply that market. That's over now, they have their own 49 tonne 5 axle tipper.

I think DAF is aiming for the very heavy trucks as well in the coming years.

GINAF tippers are much too heavy for the Croatian market, in fact for most European markets. In most European countries an 8 x 4 tipper has a GVW of 32 tonne, here a 6 x 6 GINAF has a GVW of 35.5 tonne.

I know this is dead horse, but the Mobil oil you mentioned doesn't meet Ford spec WSS M2C171-F1. As I have already mentioned, Ford did testing with CK-4 oils and found accelerated wear on rockers and push tubes vs CJ-4 oils of past so they developed their own spec (which many manufacturers do). Ford has their own list of approved oils for the consumer to use. Not many Mobil or Chevron oils meet the spec. 15W-40 is the most common viscosity meeting the spec. Last I knew, Conoco Philips is who makes Motorcraft oil.
