I suppose this is just asking for information from Paccar. If they tell you you can only use lower viscosity oil after putting in a case, then you can ask them what the purpose of the case is. I certainly would ask why I would have to spend that money.

Sure, but alas it isn't, so no big pre-trip check of the engine. Who would have thought.

This driver could do inframe on the side of the road, started in early 1980 with Praga trucks in forests.

So I'm pretty sure, if something is going to fail, he will notice it.

A 6 x 4 with three excuse baby axles. The truck doesn't need them. I once saw a video clip where such a truck went around a sharp 90° corner. It stopped for the traffic light, lifted the baby axles, went around the corner, and lowered the baby axles again.

And why doesn't the truck need them? If they want to haul the weight, the law says you need them. Theory vs reality again. In theory the truck doesn't need them. In reality the law says it does. What do you think the DOT will go by?

Isn't "baby" axles becoming popular on European tractors?

    Not yet.
The UK has a lot but they need a 3 axle truck combined with a 3 axle trailer to be allowed 44 metric tonnes.
The rest off the EU only buys them to run the UK or who are heavy on the drive.
So a niche market for now but that could change in the future.
(Depends if they change the law)

They have their use and i would buy one if i needed it.

Oxbow, 98989 and spsauerland Thank this.
