Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

    Indeed, most likely not. This truck looks very much like the ones they use in Michigan. Many axles for very low axle loads. Technically the truck most likely could do with about half of the axles.

    I think they go up to 180 000lbs,

    Once i have created 20axle combination in calculation software to see weights but forget that

    That's about 80 tonne. You only need 8 axles for that.

    And Dutch De Rooy transports 4 trucks at once.

    Each truck 8 tons times 4 = 32 tons, plus empty chassis 10-12 (?) so 44 tons in total. Not exactly legal, but they are Dutch so what do you expect :rolleyes:

    The empty weight of these trucks is about 7.4 tonne, so 7.4 x 4 = 29.6 tonne in total.

    Still over 40 tons .. and over 4 meters .. and over lenght .. speak with their drivers how often they are stopped and have to leave 4th truck somwhere.

    Really? I see only De Rooy subcontractors delivering here, but only legal way 3 trucks at once.

    As usual, not legally. I believe SD also has freeze-thaw laws from February to May that lowers legal axle weights to help protect the roads.

    I’m not sure what the allow. But they are quite a sight going down the road. I think Michigan will allow 164,500 on an 11 axle Michigan special. I’m pretty sure these guys are a little heavier.
