Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

empty tractors weight less, transport weight of mp5 gigaspace decent equipment with alcoa, no spare wheel retarder etc 7400kg, average fleet tractor incl spare with steel wheels would be 7500 or bit more. once i was looking at rdw weights of their trucks, reported weight and payload will fit into 44t, trailers are something like 2700kg or so. dont know if they have all tools included on trucks/trailers when scaled.

so within 41200 kg it is possible to transport 4 tractors

 

our companies have permit for 44t on 6axles for truck transport. length 21m, height is impossible to fit. gigaspace sits on 4.4m with lowest possible fvg (probably most expensive) trailers, width is also above law.

 

@daf105paccar , being today with one truckdriver from B, he drive for transrad containers with radioactive waste. he came here on fair and wanted to see mp5 as he will get it in september. he says that they have cases that immigrants enter into container in calais

 

De Rooy was still illegal, caught many, many, many times, but maybe finally they changed their minds.

 

From September 2020 onwards, European trucks can be 50 cm to 90 cm longer than now. However it is not allowed to use that extra space for loading capacity, it has to be used for aerodynamic improvements. As I understand it now 50 cm can always be added, for more extra length the manufacturer needs a special type permit. The IAA 2020 promises to be quite spectacular with many new trucks.
