So you have continued your circular argument and associated the necessity of 48V to using electric motors for a/c, power steering, water pump, etc.
Nice try.
Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

Speaking of emissions, can someone tell those 2 forest fires burning nearby to stop producing so much CO and particulates? I'd like to go outside and bbq my steak soon.

But let's look at the things I mentioned:
- With an electric oil pump, you can get oil pressure and lubricate the engine before starting it. That is normal with many big engines. So no metal-to-metal contact, and the engine turns over far more easily, and certainly in winter time.
- An electric coolant pump can keep the coolant circulating though a very hot engine, after it has been switched off. No steam bubbles and other problems. With a stand heater, the coolant pump can also be used to heat up the engine before starting it in winter time.
- An electric air conditioning compressor can be used when the engine has been switched off. No idling or extra stand air conditioning.
