single reduction hypoid axles are good for ca 80t grossweight. over that you need hub reduction.
Scania offers 78t, MB 80t, Volvo 70t on hypoid axles
I am not sure if Daf would offer that (text says 120t brakes).
As far i know only MAN gives 120t on that axles (their real design is 70t).
going to pull that much with hypoid axles is stupid, you are going very deep in safety construction reserves at same time stronger axles are available which will increase lifetime at least 2 times.
When you pull very heavy, clearance between gears is not ideal and thereby hypoid axle can even increase fuel consumption comparing to hub reduction.

At 65 mph the automated truck has just shifted, and the manual has just caught up. The picture I showed was when the automated truck got to the point where it had to shift at 64 mph. At no point in the video do you see the manual pulling ahead. -
