Truck versions of the 14 litre were up to 530hp and 1700lbft.

Scania introduced a new V8 in 2000, different block, different
heads, twin camshafts (14 litre had only 1) and 15.6 litre displacement, later enlarged to 16.4 litre.
Max power for the truck version at this moment is 730hp 2580 lbft. (1150 hp for marine applications)

Largest collection of Scania V8's I have seen in the USA was at Anderson tractor in Bluffton Ohio.
Last time I was there (many years ago) they had a bunch of the 14 litres.
Top of the line Case 4WD tractors used the 14 litre Scania

    Yes.
New ones as well. Not only the v8's, also 13 litre 6 and 9 litre 5 cilinder.
Many components are shared across the 5-, 6-, and 8-cilinder platforms.

98989, Oxbow and spsauerland Thank this.

it is standard scania truck, without any modification, liebherr and scania sell lot of them.
scania is serious product, it make no sense to buy some cheap truck and fit it with expensive crane.
of serious brands scania offer two important things: low overall height, low weight.
MB is high and heavy, although some are made on MB
