And what happens when a problem arises with the system? A driver is going to driving with no mirror or camera or facing an extensive tote and repair bill. Just stupid imo

    sdaniel Thanks this.

it is illegal to drive without mirror/camera, you need on spot repair
i dont see this a problem with system, same things are in use for many years on trams trains etc. only if driver damage it

Oh I'm sure it's illegal. Doesnt mean drivers won't do it anyway.

These days they have LED lights on batteries, much better than that generator. I have a generator in the hub of my front wheel, you don't notice it. The light will come on automatically when it gets dark.

Some pictures of the famous 1000 HP tractor of the Austrian company Felbermayr. The truck was build by ÖAF which stands for Österreichische Automobil Fabrik, or Austrian Automotive Factory. At the time it was no more than an assembly plant for MAN trucks. It was delivered with a 792 HP engine, as you can see on the type shield:

Later that engine was replaced by a 1000 HP MAN V12 engine. The engine was coupled to a 7-speed automatic Renk gearbox. Renk is also part of the MAN family, and produces heavy duty gearboxes.

It’s ugly as homemade ###, but I’d like to try it out. How much torque does that v12 put out?

    3406 to 3700 Nm, or 2512 to 2728 ft.lbf.

If you want one, I know a new one that is for sale (army surplus). Keep in mind, it is not compliant to today's emission standards.

I could care less about emissions over hear. But who knows what it would take to import and parts availability would probably be a nightmare. But I imagine it would tote a load pretty good.
