Lower tires let haul more cub meters, but.... really 295/60 ore 295/55 tire price is the same as 315/70 ore 11R22.5

Bigger tires have much longer life and better for rought roads.

Guys, if u think that there are no pop holes like in Luisiana, ore patches like around NY, in Europe - you are wrong.

Yep, autobahn is the visit card of Europe, but we have to operate on bad roads too.

Eastern Europe, Asia and ex-USSR may be real challenge for any trucker.

Low deck tractors are for specific purposes in my view. There was the story of a Canadian company that had a low deck tractor build, and that made it possible to load three layers of containers instead of two. That is a very good reason. Roads in Western Europe are good, no pot-holes etc. For these very low profile tyres you need good roads of course,

Life of low profile tires is twice shorter not only becouse of damage, but becouse of wear. low profile tires spin faster!

and this is not all. usually u cant fit low profile single tire and u have to use twin tires.

so use of low profile tires is limited

The super low deck tractor with a fifth wheel height of 85cm (33½ inch) was designed for the TelliSys project. This project was instigated and financed by the European Commission. You can read all about it here:

    http://www.tellisys.eu/

It's all about being able to use 45ft containers with an internal height of 2970mm.

In Ukraine containers are usually hauled by US trucktors with European tridem trailer becouse containers are heavy, and to reduce axle load 6x4 trucktors are used.

I suppose you use older US tractors because they don't have the emission controls of modern EU trucks. However it seems the Ukraine will adopt the Euro 6 standard in 2018, so I suppose from that moment on these older US trucks can't be imported any more.

Sure, but those vehicles include trains and inland vessels. Western European railway freight cars can handle two 45ft containers, Eastern European freight cars only two 40ft containers.
