The British heavy haulage company A.L.E. couldn't find the truck they wanted, so they build their own trucks. They are called Trojan 8870, 8x8 and 700HP. They have a Volvo Penta engine, so that is a Volvo marine engine.

When they are towing something very heavy with two or more trucks, then the leading truck can control power and braking on all the other trucks. A very nice feature, just like with multiple locomotives on a train.

I think these trucks are good looking too!

That may well be, after all you don't want to build parts like that yourself.

unnecessary for europe, too big to expensive parts availability , fuel economy, tires.......

    here pulling only 14axle lines

trucks like these were used 35-40years ago in europe, maybe they are usable world wide offroad but not here

of course they are not going to say in official site it is useless. since there are other manufacturers of similar vehicles why we do not see more of them in europe?

why did faun, kaeble ,and others stopped to produce such trucks? because nobody needs them.

fuel figures of 40% are comparing to old faun and scammell trucks , you cant compare this fuel consumption to modern heavy haul trucks.

Reality is that this really is powerful truck which can do a lot of heavy work. but how often do you have 250t load? few times per year ....what to do rest of year?

in my opinion this vehicle could be usable pulling heavy composition on steep windmill roads offroad where you have big rolling resistance

The German companies Titan and Paul are producing trucks in the same category, not to mention Nicolas of France. I suppose there is demand for them.

Terberg is a very small company of course, so they will never be able to produce their own cab. The DAF LF cab is produced by Renault, and the same cab is used by Renault, Volvo, Peterbilt and Kenworth.

The DAF CF cab is used by Ginaf and Tatra.

It is far to expensive to design your own cab if you don't have really high production numbers.
