Like the industry asking for a fuel tax increase . Would not need to raise extra funds , if the Highway Trust Fund had not been raided. Was enough in there to replace every bridge and repave every inch of road. Industry paid to build the system twice already and asking to do it again , but not by tolls. Indiana Toll Road is bankrupt . But give away programs were to important. But for the less informed, lowering tax rates always increases tax collected. Prompts investment and hiring, equaling a increase of tax payers . Works 100% .

We could start repairing those things by stopping subsidizing the United Nations and NATO and other Western European-centric institutions of waste and corruption. Perhaps if you had to actually pay your own fair share of these international bureaucracies instead of getting a free ride off the generosity of the United States your own comfortable socialist system would collapse in on itself bankrupt as it is.

I found some figures for 2015, just one example.

By international treaties the Netherlands was obliged to pay € 47,000,000 to the UN and several UN organizations.
In reality the Netherlands paid about € 418,000,000 to the UN and various UN organizations, so that is almost 9 times more then it was obliged to pay.

    Does that answer your remark?

If Volvo parts are being produced in China, then Volvo is still responsible for the quality. And they will certainly check that. There is no reason to assume that China can not produce good quality parts, the problem is that people want very cheap Chinese stuff, and that will be of poor quality. You do know that all iPhones are produced in China?

I found some nice video clips of Euro trucks in the mountains.

    A MAN 580HP semi:

    A nice little convoy:

A Mercedes logging truck on a rather winding road

Another logging truck on a narrow logging road:

Every truck company will regularly check the quality of the parts they produce themselves, or are produced by other companies.
