Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

I suppose so, the truck itself will still be using 24 volt. It's not so difficult to lower the voltage for the trailer lights.
It has always been a mystery to me why North American trucks are using 12 volt, while the rest of the world is using 24 volt. A 24 volt system is more reliable, and the currents are lower, enabling thinner and more flexible wiring.CoyoteExpress Thanks this. -
Europe changed in the 70s to 24v.
North America did not. -
