Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

They got everyone beat when it comes to everything.
Just look at there policies concerning immigration. They dont take no crap from anyone. Its there way or no way.

Well, today the last part of Euro 5 became law in Australia. That is very surprising. After all they don't have their own truck manufacturers, they assemble trucks. All the European manufacturers and US manufacturers can build Euro 6 trucks, so why is it that Australia still hasn't Euro 6 legislation?

Yet they use the EURO standard.

Actually Kenworth, Volvo/Mack & Iveco all have Manufacturing facilities here in Australia.
With Kenworth making the entire; Cab, Hood, Sleeper & chassis rails inhouse.
Iveco build certain Model Cabs & Bonnets (hoods) & chassis rails from Scratch.
Volvo/Mack are more of "assemblers" that the other 2 But still have a substantial Factory & is in the RHD centre for Mack Worldwide.

We currently Have Euro 5 (or Equivalent) but you need to keep in mind our Land Mass is comparable to Europe or North America with only 24Million People..
