To get a better impression of the Phoenix cab, look here:

    http://www.daf.co.uk/en-gb/trucks/daf-cf-euro-6/interior

It is exactly the same cab, and the spacecab is quite roomy. Perhaps not as roomy as a NA sleeper, but if you really want to, there are companies that can extend the cab to the rear.

I had asked my KW dealer about getting one in, because they had a cabover at MATS a couple of years ago, he said no chance, I also had asked Volvo directly via an email to corp. they said they are not bring in any cabovers because their dealer network could not/would not support it.
I did hear of a guy in Canada that talked them into a couple of cabover, but I never heard what happened to that deal.

I REALLY had high hopes that Hyundai was going to bring their new "world truck" (availble with left hand drive) over to the states, it is a VERY nice truck and would fit us to a tee, but never got a word back, again, probably a dealer network issue.

THE HYUNDAI XCIENT IS A BOLD STEP INTO THE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK MARKET
    by Nathan Adlen - December 1, 20130

Hyundai is eyeballing the global commercial vehicle market with the Hyundai Xcient. The Hyundai Xcient (which gets it name from combining XC with efficient) is an all new approach to the commercial truck market both in style and function. Unlike their current, smaller market heavy-duty trucks, the Hyundai Xcient (which debuted at the 2013 Soul Auto Show) is primed to meet the demands of a global market.

“The Xcient is the result of Hyundai Motor’s relentless pursuit of excellence and technology innovation,” said Hanyoung Choi, Hyundai Motor’s Vice Chairman. “We believe that this new vehicle will help us achieve our goal of becoming a major player in the commercial vehicle market.”

The Hyundai Xcient comes with two engine options, the 10L H-engine, with maximum output of 420ps (about 414 hp), maximum torque of 200kgm (about 1,446 lb-ft), and Powertech engine, with maximum output of 520ps (about 513 hp), maximum torque of 255kgm (about 1,843 lb-ft). According to Hyundai, these updated power-plants are much more efficient than the ones they replace in Trago.

“The Xcient, which took three years and 200 billion won of investment to develop, offers a full lineup including cargo, tractor and dump. From the early development stages, truck customers’ needs and market trends were fully reflected. The wide grille strengthens its confident look, while side character lines add to its bold yet sophisticated image. The cabin height was increased by 330 mm to 1,895mm, giving drivers more space. The width of the bed inside the cabin has also been increased to 800mm from 650mm, optimizing the truck for long distance driving.” – – Hyundai Media

The Hyundai Targo, which debuted in 2006, has done well for the automaker, but needed to be updated. The advent of the Hyundai Xcient allows for new electronics, drive components, platform and better efficiency. Those numbers include a seven percent increase in fuel economy.

“Due to improved engine performance, the new model’s fuel economy has been enhanced by seven percent from the previous model. In addition, the new model boasts enhanced durability resulting from improved components, including dump spring, twin clutch and air suspension, making the truck more economically efficient by lowering maintenance costs.
The Xcient adopted a number of convenience features for the first time in the commercial vehicle market, such as driver seat with cold/warm air ventilation, button-start. In particular, Hyundai’s advanced in-vehicle telematics service ‘Blue Link’ was included for the first time in its commercial vehicles.” – – Hyundai Media

You can buy one here, and have it shipped of course. A new one or a used one. The engines are mostly the same as in Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks. It's odd really, Kenworth and Peterbilt are selling trucks with the smaller LF cab, and Kenworth is selling a very big truck with the big XF cab. I can imagine there is a market for such trucks, once US truckers notice that these cabovers are not the uncomfortable bone shakers they were used to.

Stan, most off what they show here,i allready had in my '06.

You do know that if you were to buy a secondhand 09 or 10,you could import it as it would be compliant with EPA07.
Till when is EPA07 California compliant?

I don't know hoe much difference there is between a US MX-11 engine and an EU version.
