Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

what make me shocked is when i was talking with a unimog product manager from south korea, they are using only 530 unimog, largest one, they use them for snow cleaning, in mountains where nothing else can approach, and after winter they park them , unimog is machine you can use every day in year and only then it makes sense

btw due to their high import taxes price is 300 000€

Freightliner = Daimler Benz. I know that the US army bought Unimogs that had the Freightliner brand name, most likely to make the politicians happy. At the moment I can't find anything on their web site that points to a somewhat similar vehicle. It wouldn't make sense that Daimler Benz would spent an awful lot of money to design a US counterpart to the Unimog.

I also looked at Navistar, They do have a very nice pickup, but that's not even close to a Unimog of course. And indeed they have a big 8x8 off-road truck, but that is in fact a version of a Tatra truck.

As 98989 wrote, Tatra builds the best off-road trucks.

You understand I showed a side mount , front mount , rear mount can swap out in 10 min or less. 360 visibility is a given , can see the ground at each tire. One of my friends tractors road speed is 48 mph. 32 gears on shuttle shift. 4 sets of remotes. Could buy 3 for what the unimog cost. And still have 100k to spend on attachments. No telling how many attachments you can get . Spec 3 point on both ends run two 3 point and a saddle mount at the same time . Not a right or wrong way , just different . As far as pulling ?
