That light bar isn't standard of course, and yes you can get polished Alcoas too. And if you want more chrome, that can't be so difficult. Without actually changing the vehicle itself, such differences are normal on different markets. Interior colours can be different too etc. The same happens with passenger cars, a German car build for the NA market differs in appearance from a German version. That's a matter of different taste.

    I think there's a miscommunication ......

He's talking about #13xxx lbs just on the front axle mt..... Not the whole unit......

This is not correct and many drivers here make the same mistake.

The maximum weight for a steer axle is the lesser of; 20,000 lbs max for single axle, or max weight rating for the steer axle. Most NA tractors are 12,000 to 13,500 lbs, or max weight rating for tire, which in the case of the truck I am driving is 6,175 lbs each.

Your concern of having 17,500 lbs in order to prevent steer skids seems to be a solution in search of a problem.

Sure, they are banned because they get stuck. However the point is, an EU type of truck will not get stuck on such a road. Shorter wheelbase, steering rear axles on tractor and trailer, and roads like that are no problem at all.

You keep failing to accept this; if your COE has air ride cab and air suspension, so do our conventionals. Move the seat back 8 feet and have the wheelbase 6 feet longer, it is by definition, more comfortable! We don't need short wheelbase tractors here, so why run something that is not necessary?

No matter who made the truck if it's over 40 feet it will not go down that road . Not sure you understand any thing. Who made it does not move the cliffs on each side .
