With this setup, IIRC you're allowed 7,500kg or about 16k lbs on the steer axle.

Showed a pic of one of our trucks . No one has answered how making it in to a cab over would make it any shorter. And Ceasar your video of the truck carrying the skidder , I could take a set of doubles around . With out taking out the fence.

The ore weight you can put on a front axle, the better a truck will steer. Within limits of course.

Putting 17,500 lbs on the front axle in combination with the higher load on the rear axle that is permitted in the EU, makes that you don't need a second rear axle in most cases. I've seen it with big Mack tippers, they had three rear axles. Loaded, those things were almost impossible to get around tight corners, they went straight ahead.

No, they did not make them like this. Many of you have explained over and over again that the front axle of those old NA cabover trucks gave the drivers big punches because the cabs had no suspension.

They're stopped making cabovers in this country almost 20 years ago!

You keep comparing your cabovers to this; temporary_file.jpg which this, of course looks better, but has all the flaws of cabovers, when you should be comparing it to this; Cascadia8.jpg See, you've got hood out in front, but steep enough so you can see, and 5-6 feet more wheelbase. What does your cabover offer that this doesn't, except the ability to get through old cities, which we don't have here?

You guys are like "why don't you want to take our ugly sister to the dance? She has a great personality and is a great cook!"
Because she's ugly and can't dance! But you guys don't accept that answer. Your short wheelbase trucks are unnecessary here. Your axle-weight set up is different And the mechanical components are similar if not the same. But you keep asking!

This thread is like "how to make a left turn" It should have been only a couple pages, but there are close to 3,000 posts!

    Mostly for show.
Are used if no oncoming traffic.
So short bursts which gives you a idea what to expect.
