I had a stretched double bunk k100 with a 12v92. I loved that truck. Tho it wasn't a flat floor. If it had a flat floor sleeper i probably would still have that truck. Well no, 4mpg when empty with a good tail wind going down hill wouldn't of survived that winter when we hit 5 bucks a gallon. What was that? 06/07?

Yes, I know, put an enormous chrome bullbar in front of it, and put chrome on almost anything else, and you're happy. By the way DAF trucks also have a bullbar in Australia, because every truck needs one against cows and kangeroos.

 

I agree, it is not a happy marriage. This is an American Kenworth with basically the same cab, only this is the Euro 5 version instead of the Euro 6 version.

 

Same here. Anyone that runs north puts a cattle guard on them. Aka moose pusher.

Edit to ask. What's your problem with chrome? Some guys like it some don't, but you seem to get awfully worked up over it.

 

Oh no, not at all. But I get the impressions that for you every truck is ugly, unless there's lots of chrome on it.

 

Not sure how. I've said more than once in this thread i don't like polishing. The least shiny the better.

Maybe you are predisposed to thinkthe worse of anyone that prefers a conventional hood with a big sleeper. You seem to make a habit of ridiculing everyone one that doesn't think a cabover daf euro truck is the best thing since slice bread.

 

Here are a couple of examples of no chrome that looks good.

 

I strongly dislike what they did with that western star. Stock, that's a very good looking truck. Those stupid 3 pipe stacks and that ridiculous hood scoop just ruin that truck.

And optimus should of stayed a pete.
