If any of you have lived in Europe or are from there .... You will understand why cabovers are a necessity ..... My family is from st Helens , Lancashire and I cannot imagine my t 680 with my 53 van on their streets .... Their motorways are much smaller also and what mileage we do here in the states daily you can travel around the UK 3 times . There is a reason why European trucks are what they are . It's a totally different driving experience from what we are used to here stateside . Every truck has its place for reason in our industry there is no better and no worse . It's a compromise.
Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

But in normal conditions We're limited to 6000kgs (13200lbs) on the Steer Axle. in certain conditions 6500ksg is allowable.
This can explain it to you far better than I'm capable of..

The funny part is instead of using NA flat floor cabovers from the 90s as a comparison, he picks out a 70's model with the doghouse and sleeper that was nothing but a mattress.Last edited: Dec 4, 2016
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Have had many of these dashes apart. That middle section there is about 8 inches of space before the firewall . Sorry about it being dirty! This is a loaner truck, and I did not grab my cleaning supplies .
Fair shot of the floor between the seats.
Loaner is a 2015 just over two years old , as you can see she does not seat long . My truck is a 2017 , testing a crash avoidance system.
