Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

    Not True..

    All the European Automated Gearboxes are Constant mesh,& the only Syncro rings in them are in the range change (same as in the Eaton Fuller Roadranger).

    Not picking an Argument.. Just saying...

    Fixed axles certainly required knowing how to load the wagon, or be willing to move crap inside the trailer (which I have done).

    I used to see this one quite often in real life:


    Definitely an Alberta truck. You can tell because of the sleeper. Log trucks in BC rarely ever have sleepers.

    Cranes of one type or another have been mounted on trucks for decades.

    What I meant of course were manual unsynchronized gearboxes that require double clutching. You will not find them in Europe.

    Thanks for all the photos of trucks with cranes, but what I meant is this type of tractors with cranes:

    These kind of tractors with cranes are quite common in Europe, but I haven't seen them on NA tractors (except for logging tractors).
