What do they pull with the 5th wheel behind the crane...?

Just spotting trailers or pulling real loads...?

Usually a tridem oilfield float trailer is what they pull. Usually see them loaded with oil rig parts to install when setting up a drilling rig. Sometimes rig mats or small machinery. Mainly eliminates the need for 2 trucks.

well actually not correct, scania use syncros, on PGR series, but on new generation trucks they drop syncros , since both are manufactured at moment we can still say, this is not correct

man road going tractors got scania gearboxes, dont know which ones with or without syncros

here every timber truck have crane, reasons are that we dont have big cut works in forests, but they cut here and there, so there is no erosion but every truck needs crane.

some companies use heavy duty timber trucks that really can withstand extreme overloads, but they are too heavy and it is pretty risky to run. They are always strongest chassis available, on HD springs, HD hub reduction axles , drum brakes , strong driveline, always high frame, often AWD.....these combinations are not used in west, only here , now it become popular to buy second hand 4axle trailer from SE/FI as they can load more , 220 000lbs is not rare

than you have medium trucks with air suspension low chassis
    like this, 165 500lbs

and lightest category, light air suspension 6x4 or 6x2 trucks alu wheels, alu body, everything weight optimised , not suitable for overloading , i would not load more than 115 000lbs on this one, they are used only internationally
