on long distance transport, they often use tractor-semitrailer combinations, those trucks are loaded by rigid timber trucks on depot close to forest, usually companies try to buy cheapest as possible trucks for this operations, so some questionable brands are used ,

or they want lightest as possible combinations, trailers from italian carmosino are popular they weight something around 9700lbs with 3axles 45ft, spare wheel, and 6 pair of stakes.
also possible to use austrian gsodam they can build trailers starting from 8800lbs

 

In scandinavia they use different systems to remove crane from trucks after they load

"The old guy in the back of the minivan" is a police officer, and he was telling that the truck had a weight of 75 tons, and that in Germany the maximum weight of a truck is 40 tons. The driver would get a fine of € 425.
There was nothing going on in the weight station, as far as I can tell they were shouting the measurements etc.
