why not scania make very good gearboxes , they have already develop them, and not much things need to be develop further,
scania have its own gearboxes for decades, around ww2 they have realized 3rd part is not solution.
than explain to me why mercedes stopped to use zf gearboxes and develop its own?

you should know that at about 2002/3 scania and man get some deal about sharing gearboxes and small differentials, however this never came to realisation.

in 2010 they announce that again

Boy you are just like the kids over here. You cannot stand to be wrong and think you are superior to all others. You also cannot recognize a joke when you see one. Pull that broom stick out and have some fun.

Just plain realize that your crappy trucks will not work here and our crappy trucks will not work there.

You should come up to the oilsands some time. Those haul trucks have to deal with mud and washboard ruts deep enough that you could stand in the bottom of one rut and barely see over the top. Driving on oilsand is like driving on marshmallows. Sometimes there's a 4 foot tall wave being pushed in front of the tires. While it may not be the traditional "offroad", you have to remember that some of these trucks are doing that with 400 tons in the box and only 1 drive axle (without a locker).

Bingo! And there is your economic model. Get rid of the truck long before it has reached it's useful life expectancy due to over-bearing tax burden,

this must be done otherwise east trucks could get into our market, this way they are not able to follow requirements in terms of safety and ecology

receive next to nothing in return on investment because of weak demand,
10year old benz cost about 24000$ , prices drop for 40% because of reasons i have wrote few posts ago

and squander natural resources producing more trucks than needed just to fund your "green" government, who is probably doing more harm to the environment than good, but they feel good.

there is something called recycling i dont find any problem in that

    And as you stated,
i have not stated anything, that is is Caesar

that horribly dirty truck is still spewing it's noxious fumes, just in somebody else's back yard.
those trucks are still better than old trucks they bough 15-20years ago from us, and better than chinese trucks they have as alternative

Imagine how good of fuel mileage those same trucks could get without the emission crap, and how much less oil would need to be produced, and how many less oil support vehicles and machinery would be required just to compensate for the fuel and energy used to produce and maintain the emissions quota. I hope your revenue makes up for your disposable trucks.
not too much, euro 6 use less fuel than euro5 we can talk on 10% without problem, in some cases customers report even 22% difference, euro 5 engine with same truck/ engine would use maybe 3-4% less.

Heck, why have any grease fittings, or change the oil for that matter. Your going to get rid of it before it craps out on you in 300,000 miles.
downtime cost you money, i am still telling you to read my post where i wrote that i know tons of 15-20year old actros trucks daily overloaded with 80-90% in very difficult conditions without problems caused by dry points ( this is called good engineering-something unknown in North American truck market) here average truck is used till about 500 000milles in international transport, than company either sell them before they need some investment ( change 1st set of brakes, change dpf for 2nd time, change cab bushings, inspect injectors and similar), or they put it on closer routes close to our country this way even if you get into problems you can send lowloader for truck , or send our cheap mechanics to fix it, sending such truck far away could cost you, as west mechanics are much more expensive than our. than you can run truck 3 more years closer to home, at age of 7 years truck get best ratio of price, millage, investment required to maintain truck, and income earned by truck. if owner decide to keep truck 3 more years this would require some investment into truck, but 10year is limit how long he must keep it otherwise it is difficult to sell it, in middle east they have 7-10year import limit, in some african countries it is 7years as well.

It's easy to justify when it's other people's money. Go buy one. Until then you have zero experience in this and are just regurgitating the sales brochure.

CH support cleaner trucks more than any other country,if you make 150 000km per year in CH, euro 5 comparing to euro 6 would cost you 24200$ more only in LSVA
