Im not saying you are right or wrong. I'm saying until you own one and are the man writing the checks, you can't possibly know if you are right. There could be many different reasons the under developed eastern european countries are buying your used trucks. It could be because they are the best trucks, or it could be that they are the only option. I don't know, and neither do you because neither of us is buying and operating a truck in eastern europe.

And that there is all we need to know. It ends the debate on then being a viable option here. If they were an economically viable option, one of the big fleets would have bought some to try out.

Yes, a road tax. You pay per ton and km. The tariffs are RP 3.10/tkm for Euro 0, 1, and 2 trucks, RP 2.69/tkm for Euro 3 trucks, RP 2,28/tkm for Euro 4, 5 and EEV trucks, and RP 2.05/tkm for Euro 6 trucks.

    1 RP = 0.01 Swiss Frank = 0.00983 US$

    Yup.
    They will not sell easy.
Nothing to do with price or quality but for the same reason people disliked Volvo.

Doesn't matter where he lives. He doent own one. Until you own one, you can not possibly have working practical knowledge on how profitable one truck is vs another. He pmd me his resume. It's rather impressive...for a salesman. He gets paid to convince those writing the checks need his manufactures trucks.

And his own father won't buy one. How much is that fine he pays? 20k a year? 15k? He stated it a couple pages back.

Volvo is one of the top sellers here. The big fleets embraced them. So yes, it is all about price and quality. More specifically, economically viable option. They aren't imported and sold here fire one reason and one reason only, they simply are not a practical option.
