I honestly don't think using a powered pallet Jack to push 1 pallet 40 feet is asking a lot.

Yes you are right last axle is detachable there is pin on bottom of bracket, axle is steering have twin 265/70r19.5 tires , that is standard im scandinavia but even trucks with axle permanently installed have lowered chassis and small wheels to get better angle for trailer in sweden mostly...

this truck would be used for pulling 3axle tipper semitrailer or lowloader trailer, since it can be used with both you can see long rails under 5th wheel

If it is used without 5th axle and with lowloader it can adjust kingpin too to get best possible length and weight distributon, trailers usually have detachable rear axle too

This is quite primitive vehicle comparing what trucks here, no hydraulic suspension no integrated goosenecks ....

But this works in winter and their laws allow this combination when it is winter with weight transfer they go up to 100 000lbs on drive axles

Depends on many things here on video you can see few different trailers

Some brands are lighter , some trailers are made for lighter jobs etc

But 120ft 4axle made for 4axle tractor weights about 33000lbs

And this is actially basic trailer if you deal with windblades

Have only seen a hand full that were not railroad service trucks. When rebuilding they want the rock dumped to the side , not on the tracks. Can see if where you need the material not having room to get the truck backed into the correct spot ?

it is interesting product for sure, but what is with stability? and how reliable is that?
except on small 1t garden trucks we dont have anything like this, watching this video really surprised me....

we use 3way tippers, 100% of 2axle trucks, 99% of 3axle trucks and 70% of 4axle have it.

In some other countries it is different ratios, in italy they even have rear half pipe tipper, that can open its side and unload on side if necessary

in austria and switzerland they often use 2side ones like this one called "Gesteinskipper" which are my favourite
    [IMG]

rear tippers are used for big jobs only they are little bit lighter comparing to equal 3way , so for same empty weight you can get more solid body, and half pipe prevent ground to stick in corners

my fathers truck worked over year 16-24h per day on rail reconstruction project, they used eurailpoll pm200-1br machine, it was pretty big thing, many of rear end trucks worked cheaper bringing lot of material, 3way trucks were used locally within 100m-15km and used lot with ditch works, pipe works, and while building rescue roads parallel to rail and earn more

last 2.5years he worked only with pipeworks

I can't recall ever seeing a side dump straight truck but we have a ton of these around here.
