Well, there are companies in the Netherlands that do these modifications. Look here:

Modificatie van uw cabines en chassis - Van Winkoop Ermelo

This is how the end result looks:

    DAF XXF.jpg

There was even a company that gave a DAF XF an (ugly) nose:

Daf wasn't happy with this by the way, they don't allow this modification for any more trucks.

i know , you can do by yourself whatever you want , as long as national vehicle center would allow this, but for manufacturer, homologation is one terrible thing, and they cant make those things because of that.
i have asked if laxa can make torpedo, answer was very clear NO, for any of my subquestion it was NO and again NO, than i asked does they still make spare parts, answer was yes and they say you have to find independent company to convert it.....

it is not wonder that daf dont allow this, never seen something so awfull.... they could look in daf history, or borrow some USA parts from paccar cousins

No they are not idiots. Europe has very small streets , old small towns, no way to turn around. USA is different. This truck is complicated and useless truck for USA. Once again if something is good for Europe can be bad for USA.

They are different. Every time I go to Europe I run back USA after one week. Over there I feel I am surrounded with aliens from different planet. :)

These trucks arrive brand new from the factory, without registration. Then they are modified, and brought to the state vehicle inspection. There the truck is checked for compliance with EU and national regulations, and only then will it be registered and given a license plate. The red truck is even meant for export to the UK or Ireland since it has the steering wheel at the right.

Sure, for a truck manufacturer that isn't possible. That is why there are specialized companies that can add axles, cranes, and so on.
