Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

I guess that if you have these kind of tractors build, you will go for the maximum technical load. Special tractor, special trailer, special load. If you have to move a 100 tonne digger or so, you're already over all limits.

 

After watching this classic Paccar dashboard, perhaps watching a slightly more modern Paccar dashboard can be interesting as well:

That is very sensible. In Europe trucks must be checked every year. What do you think would happen if someone came with such a monstrosity? Having to let go of your steering wheel to shift??

 

Real drivers would hook a arm threw the steering wheel and reach over and shift....


That guy is a hack....

 

I learned how to drive in a 2 stick truck. This guy attached shift levers to air shift valves and mounted them on the floor. It is a regular 13 speed. Not only does he take both hands off the wheel, he takes the transmission out of gear while splitting it up. Embarrassing!
