Oh certainly. Within hours after the hurricane hit, a Navy helicopter transmitted video pictures of St. Maarten to the Netherlands. A few days later the first small navy patrol aircraft could land on the destroyed airfield, and a day or so later the first Hercules of the Dutch air force. We have a head of state, he is a king. He has a mostly ceremonial role, but within days he was in Curaçao to talk to the brigadier general of the Dutch marines who is the commander of all Dutch forces in the Caribbean. Five days after the hurricane hit, the king was on St. Maarten, walking around, talking to people. The French president Mr. Macron was there about the same time. They didn't have to wait before visiting their people and showing their compassion, they went there as soon as possible. And by the way, that navy base on Curaçao was used by the Dutch, French and British forces to coordinate their help efforts in the Caribbean.

This may come as a shock, the US Marines even use the G Wagon as the Interim Fast Attack Vehicle.

Since our good friend 98989 has started a few contributions on trailers, I would like to show a few pictures of steering trailers that are quite normal here.
These chassis can be used for all kind of trailers, and they are very common on distribution trailers.
These trailers are build a few miles from here.

On the first one only the last axle on a tandem or tridem is a steering axle:

On the second chassis the first and the last axle of a tridem are steering axles:

And on the third chassis the second and the third axle are steering axles. This is a kind of heavy duty chassis.

As you can see, no hydraulics, all purely mechanical.
