You came up with the LED lights, I never mentioned them. I have no idea when EU manufacturers started offering them, but I suppose most will have them by now.

If you want good seats, look here:

Their top model C 7000 will set you back about $3900.

The point is that that all of the emissions stuff is an integral part of the engine. Cummins can not develop such a system for a Detroit engine, without designing the Detroit engine itself as an example.

I never used or meant to use the word 'bad', I mentioned the word inefficient, meaning using to many people. That has nothing to do with the quality of the product. All those European brands will have set up their plants the way they are set up in Europe, they have one department designing plants, so they will have been set up as efficient as possible. Ferrari only casts and machines V6 engine blocks in Chryler's plants, the blocks are then shipped to Italy to be used in engine that are build there.

I have no idea what you mean. I demonstrated that by varying a few simple panels you can produce a day cab, two European style sleeper cabs and a NA style sleeper cab.

Ummm, no. Cat stocks are up 16% last quarter. Cat just decided not to play the game in truck engines anymore. They do fine with their construction engines despite having to add all the emission crap.

mhyn, W9onTime and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Yes of course trucks like these can be used in Europe. We had similar ones in the 1950's, more old fashioned of course, but a day cab with a nose. This set up with three trailers would be allowed on the highways. But can you give me a reason why a company would manufacture such a truck in Europe, or buy such a truck in Europe?
